Our preferred format for file submission at JB Kenehan is PDF/X-1a:2001. All professional layout applications offer a PDF/X-1a export preset.
We are happy to work with your native layout files. Please keep in mind that you will need to add two to three days to your production schedule to accommodate the processing of native files.

Adobe® Photoshop® & Illustrator®
Save your files as PDF/X-1a directly from the applications. When building Illustrator® graphics, be sure that the Document Raster Effects Setting is set to 300 ppi. Otherwise your raster objects will be low resolution.
ATTENTION – Do not convert your fonts to outlines. The ISO standard for PDF/X-1a requires fonts to be embedded into the PDF files.
